Archive. Subject: Conspiracy Theories about dead rappers.
The August release of Straight Outta Compton reignited the discussion surrounding Eazy-E’s death due to complications from AIDS. More specifically, the film reopened the (not at all closed) conspiracy theory about how Eazy contracted HIV. Was it through sex or a tainted needle?
Eazy’s daughter, E.B. Wright, said the film downplayed her father’s volatile relationship with Suge Knight. Wright said Knight did not simply use fists upon her father but pulled a gun with murderous intent. One of Eazy’s sons, Yung Eazy, agreed that Knight played a role in his dad’s death. Yung discussed Knight’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! appearance where he dropped this bomb:
“If you shoot somebody you go to jail forever … So they got this new thing out … they get blood from somebody with AIDs and then they shoot you with it. So that’s a slow death, an Eazy-E thing, ya know what I’m saying?”
Then came a resurrected 2013 interview with N.W.A. manager Jerry Heller, who believed Knight was not joking during the Kimmel show. Knight said, “If he was murdered, if he was injected, why haven’t they solved that?” This brings us to a new interview with OG Latin rapper Frost, who signed with Eazy’s Ruthless Records in 1995. Frost spoke with Siccness.net about the injection theory. Frost says he knows exactly how it went down:
“I’ma tell you what happened with Eazy getting AIDS and I believe this to the day and I believe this to this day. I don’t care if you guys got it on film. You can tell the world. They gave him tainted needles with acupuncture. Needles that tainted him, they gave it to him.”
Frost strongly implies someone arranged for tainted needles to be administered upon Eazy. As for who that someone is, he’s not exactly naming names:
“What happened was is that someone, I won’t say the name, but people know the name. I don’t wanna say that name ’cause it’s the devil’s name, but another person in Rap, if you know you’re history of Rap, calls him the devil. If you know the history of Rap, West Coast Rap, you know who I’m saying. I was told even in my last conversation from Eazy not to even talk to that man. Not only that, but I think that they really had a stronghold of giving him tainted needles with the AIDS virus in him with acupuncture.”
Frost says his theory is supported by the swiftness with which Eazy succumbed to the disease after his diagnosis. He asked, “Have you even heard of somebody dying in two weeks of AIDS? It’s unheard of.”
